WCB Announces Cutoff Date of May 23 for Paper Forms:

The New York state Workers’ Compensation Board has announced that May 23 is the cutoff date for the acceptance of paper forms.

The board’s eClaims program, initiated last June, is scheduled to go into effect April 23 for all First Reports of Injury/Subsequent Reports of Injury claims data.

Effective May 23, all forms C-669, C-8/8.6, or C-7 that are sent to the board will not be scanned into the case folder or considered duly filed.

Employers and claims administrators who file injury and illness data electronically should use Form C-2F. It replaces Forms C-2, VAW-2 and VF-2, which will be disabled on the board’s website.

For more information, see Subject Notice 046-672.
