Contractor Banned from Buffalo

Contractor Banned from Working in Western New York Town:

A town in western New York state has banned a contractor from doing business within its borders for a host of reasons, which include the fact he carries no workers’ compensation coverage.

The Town of Evans, located south of Buffalo, has barred contractor Michael Gajkowski from contracting work within the town because he "left home improvement jobs unfinished," and received complaints that "have amounted to thousands of dollars homeowners have lost to Gajkowski," according to a report on WIVB.com.

Police Chief Ernest Masullo told WIVB.com that there are about a dozen complaints against the contractor, and that Gajkowski "has no insurance, pays no workers' compensation, nor will town officials even issue him a building permit."
